Unique Benefits of Amazing Grace Preschool

  • We have an outstanding reputation and have been in business of teaching preschoolers for 30 years.

  • We successfully stayed open during the COVID-19 pandemic, offering our students in-person instruction in a safe, healthy, and fun educational way.

  • Amazing Grace Lutheran Preschool is a premier licensed child care facility through the Municipality of Anchorage.

  • Our staff is one of the best!   All teachers have teaching experience and higher education backgrounds.   They are required to maintain 12 to 24 hours of child development study each year and are certified in First Aid, AED, and CPR.

  • We do not require parents to participate in the classroom.  Parent volunteering is welcomed but not mandatory.   If done on a regular basis, volunteers are required to have the same background checks as our teachers, so that our children are always assured a safe environment.

  • We do not require parents to purchase snacks or drinks for the classrooms.   We provide and serve snacks daily.

  • We offer an optional lunch bunch program from 11:30 - 12:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.   This provides the child with more socializing opportunities and extended days for parents, too.

  • Our preschool has a strong music program where children attend music class twice a week, and once for our 2 day classes.  Our teacher has over 10 years of experience in early childhood education and is certified in childhood music and movement.

  • Amazing Grace Preschool incorporates basic Christian learning through chapel time once a month with our Chapel Director and Pastor.

  • Safety is our number one concern.  We have an advanced security system on our front doors equipped with cameras and an intercom system.  Our doors remain locked during school hours, our staff receives regular safety training, and students repeatedly practice fire and earthquake drills.

  • Kimochi learning has been incorporated into our curriculum which helps broaden the children's awareness and language in regards to their emotions and those around them.  Healthy habits, due to the experience of COVID-19, has been intergrated into our yearly curriculum as well.

  • We offer added events such as the Fall Celebrations, Thanksgiving Feast of Favorites, Christmas Programs, Community Outreach Programs, Mother's Day Tea (Pre-K only), and a big year-ending All School Picnic.

  • Our students have recess once a day for 30 minutes on our enclosed play area which includes a tire swing, slides, monkey bars, dinosaur gym, a sledding hill, and much more.

  • We provide you with a monthly newsletter to keep you informed of your child's learning and special events. You can also Follow us on Facebook to see what fun we are having!
